The Margit Slachta National Institute of Social Politics (NSZI) was established on January 1, 2021, by the former Ministry of Human Resources, and is currently a background institution of the Ministry of Interior. NSZSI plays a key role in professional development and research in the fields of social politics, child welfare, and child protection. Its mission is to provide support for decision-making, service provision, and law enforcement in these areas, while also contributing to the development of training and education systems for social and child welfare professionals.

The NSZI addresses the challenges posed by demographic changes, evolving economic conditions, and shifting social needs, with a strong focus on updating and enhancing the competences of professionals in the social sector. The Institute's work directly impacts the quality of life for vulnerable individuals and families across Hungary.
