CENTRO DE REFERENCIA ESTATAL DE ATENCIóN A PERSONAS CON ENFERMEDAD DE ALZHEIMER Y OTRAS DEMENCIAS (CREA) IMSERSO

Description:

The State Reference Centre for the care of people with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias is organically and functionally dependent on the Institute for the Elderly and Social Services, Ministry of Social Rights and Agenda 2030, created and regulated by Order TAS/3775/2007 of 19 December.

The Alzheimer's CRE is configured as a public and state-wide resource, specialising in research, analysis, evaluation and knowledge of the best formulas for the social and healthcare care of people with Alzheimer's disease and other dementias, with a focus on liaison, a forum for meeting and collaboration with the set of organisations and entities that manage and provide care for this disease.

In order to achieve its aims, the Reference Centre carries out a dual mission: specialised care for people with the disease and other dementias and their families or main carers, and is a reference model for training and research, as well as for the generation and transfer of knowledge on good practices that enable the improvement of the quality of life and well-being of people, from a philosophy of person-centred care.
