Main Goals
The main goal of JADE Health is to reduce the burden of dementia and other neurological disorders and to improve the quality of treatment for persons with those diseases, by developing new care models which foster awareness raising, healthy aging and early detection, through the participation of 7,500 healthcare professionals, carers, patients, families and caregivers, using evidence-based best practices via 44 pilots implementation in 17 EU countries.
The specific objectives of the project are:
- Ensure that the Best Practices chosen in JADE Health for implementation across different health systems in Europe lead to sustainability.
- Develop/encourage concrete new collaborations to perform new health treatments, equitable access to care and support new policies in the field of dementia and/or other neurocognitive disorders.
- Improve promotion and prevention interventions targeted to fight stigma, with special attention to vulnerable groups including the elderly.
- Promote proactive and person-centred new care models techniques and technologies.
- Improve the efficiency of promotion and prevention campaigns related to dementia and stroke (and any other neurocognitive disorders).
- Ensure wider and efficient dissemination of JADE Health activities/outcomes to improve health literacy and data accessibility on dementia.
