Searching for synergies among EU funded European initiatives- Webinar series in cooperation of COMFORTage CommunityForum and EHTEL
Mental disorders pose a significant public health challenge due to their prevalence, impact on quality of life and economic burden, calling for demanding policy action. The European Commission has prioritized mental health alongside physical health, introducing 20 flagship initiatives supported by €1.23 billion in funding from different financial instruments. Joint Action JADE Health is one of these projects designed to integrate validated best practices and/or (cost-)effective interventions across countries and regions through transnational pilot initiatives, complementing and reinforcing existing policies and programs.
Searching for synergies among EU funded European initiatives is key to optimise resources and activities of projects committed to reduce the burden of dementia and other neurodegenerative disorders, by improving prevention, sharing & collecting best practises to tackle mental health conditions and developing innovative practices, new care models, and last but not least combat and reduce stigma.
Joint Action MENTOR-Mental Health Togehter , and the Action Grant CARE4Elders were identified as “sister projects” as their aims and themes are aligned and show strong synergies with our Joint Action, JADEHealth.
We are rather pleased to start cooperation with COMFORTage that involves 39 organisations from 12 countries, including regional public authorities & care providers, research institutes, SMEs and Start-Ups as well as community & patient groups.
COMFORTage also supports individuals living with dementia by fostering early intervention, improving prevention, and management of dementia to reduce health inequalities and elevate societal awareness against stigma.
COMFORTage recently has established its Community Forum that serves a collaborative network designed to sustain and amplify the project's impact long after its formal conclusion by offering webinars and workshops.
COMFORTage in cooperation with the European Health Telematics Association (EHTEL) the pan-European multidisciplinary stakeholder platform, will organise a series of webinars focusing on the theme "Dementia and Frailty Service Delivery Models for affected patients and their carers". 3 webinars will be organised in 2025 and 3 other webinars in 2026 to explore key topics related to supporting patients with dementia and frailty, focusing on their emotional, physical, and practical needs.
We highly recommend for our project partners and stakeholders to register for the COMFORTageCommunityForum as that way they will be automatically informed about the upcoming webinars
