His roommate Miguel is a clever resident who helps Emilio hide the true extent of his fading memory so they can stay together and navigates Emilio to manage facility life and avoid the feared "assisted living" floor. he movie is highly praised for being a tender, honest, and providing an unsentimental look at aging and dementia. Amour (2012) This French film directed by Michael Haneke tells the story of an elderly couple, Georges and Anne, who face the challenges of aging when Anne suffers a stroke that leads to progressive dementia. The film is a poignant exploration of love, commitment, and the realities of caregiving. Emmanuelle Riva and Jean-Louis Trintignant deliver powerful performances as the central couple. 

Robot & Frank (2012): A unique, offbeat spin on the genre set in the near future. It follows a cantankerous retired jewel thief in the early stages of dementia who is gifted a caregiving robot by his son—only to train it to help him pull off one last heist.
