Why Alzheimer’s awareness month 2026 is so important?

As currently more than 55 million people are living with Alzheimer’s disease, it remains a global challenge, as life expectancy increases worldwide and education on brain health, early detection, and reducing the stigma that often surrounds cognitive disorders is more vital than ever.

JADE Health is committed to helping people to recognize warning signs, seek early support, and understand that individuals living with Alzheimer’s deserve dignity, compassion, and quality care.

Alzheimer’s awareness month 2026 is yet a possibility for us to continue promoting educational programs. The 2026 annual campaign focuses on raising awareness by sharing resources on early detection, adopting 10 brain-healthy habits, and raising funds to fight the disease.

Alzheimer’s disease affects much more than memory. Individuals may experience difficulties with communication, problem-solving, decision-making, and daily routines. As family members we all may become caregivers one day, and have to provide emotional, physical, and financial support.

Researchers increasingly suggest that certain lifestyle habits may help support long-term cognitive well-being. Healthy lifestyle choices that may contribute to better brain health include:

  • Regular physical activity
  • Consistent sleep routines
  • Social engagement
  • Mental stimulation through learning and hobbies
  • Balanced nutrition
  • Avoiding smoking
  • Managing chronic health conditions

Are you Ready to add more healthy habits to your life? Learn positive, everyday actions that fit your life and may help lower the risk of dementia.

The American Alzheimer association has developed a Brain Health Habit Builder that highlighs practical steps for individuals who are ready to take care for their brains throughout life

They also prepared a list of 10 practical habits we can incorporate into our life to maintain a healthy brain and designed a flyer that can be downloaded from this link
