Boston Cognitive is a healthcare technology company building the essential infrastructure to turn cognitive science into measurable clinical action.

By providing validated assessments, clinical oversight tools, and structured lifestyle programmes, the company enables providers to intervene earlier and sustain support over time, while empowering individuals with behaviour change tools necessary to protect brain health at scale.

The Boston Cognitive ecosystem is built on three pillars: Measurement, Management, and Engagement.

  • Measurement: Multi-modal risk stratification At the core of this infrastructure is the BoCA™, a validated, cost-effective digital assessment that comprehensively evaluates eight core cognitive domains: Memory, Attention, Language, Executive Function, Mental Math, Visuospatial Skills, Orientation, and Recall. The assessment takes only 10 minutes to complete and is utilised by clinics, researchers, and individuals to track cognitive changes over time. The assessment is available in nine languages, including Spanish, Italian, French, German, and Portuguese, and is also suitable for minimally and non-verbal populations.
Designed for seamless integration into clinical pathways, the BoCA™ can be administered in-clinic or completed remotely under provider direction. Validated in peer-reviewed studies, it demonstrates strong correlation with established measures like MoCA, but with minimal practice effects, supporting repeated use in diverse clinical and research environments. To provide a multidimensional and holistic view of brain health, Boston Cognitive is expanding its capabilities to incorporate Blood-Based Biomarkers (BBMs), such as p-tau217 and NfL, alongside Genotype Analysis (e.g., APOE status) to identify biological risk factors years before clinical symptoms emerge.

  • Management: Longitudinal Tracking & Data Integration. The Boston Cognitive Platform™ serves as a continuous "Command Center" for cognitive health, providing a data-driven feedback loop necessary for early detection and proactive management. By layering biological insights with longitudinal digital performance data, the platform enables clinicians to move beyond reactive symptomatic diagnosis toward precise, early-stage risk stratification. The platform roadmap includes the integration of wearable data (sleep, activity, and heart rate variability), allowing clinicians to correlate lifestyle metrics with cognitive performance and flag clinically significant shifts the moment they occur.

The platform is purpose-built for optimised clinical workflows and clinical decision support. By automating data collection and identifying patients across the cognitive spectrum (from mild to severe cognitive impairment), the system significantly reduces staff burden and saves valuable visit time. These efficiencies allow care teams to move away from manual documentation and refocus their energy on high-value patient interactions during in-person visits.

  • Engagement: Structured Intervention & Clinical Oversight

The Boston Cognitive Programme™ completes the ecosystem as an AI-assisted lifestyle intervention focused on modifiable risk factors. Research from the Lancet Commission on Dementia Prevention suggests that up to 45% of dementia risk is linked to modifiable lifestyle factors, underscoring the importance of sustained, brain-healthy habits.

The program supports long-term holistic wellness through structured improvements in movement, nutrition, cognitive engagement, and restorative routines. It incorporates Boston Cognitive’s patent-pending 40xBrain technology, a 40Hz light and sound entrainment system, to promote engagement and support consistent practice. Integrated with BoCA™ assessment data to personalise pacing, the program creates a bridge between cognitive assessment, lifestyle routines, and clinical oversight.

By catching shifts early and providing guided, evidence-based oversight, Boston Cognitive empowers both providers and individuals to act when intervention matters most.

We strongly believe that our cooperation with Boston Cognitive will enhance early intervention, prevention, and management of dementia and enhances our efforts improving care for individuals living with dementia.
