35th Alzheimer Europe Conference (35AEC) 6-8th October 2025
Alzheimer Europe in cooperation with Alzheimer Uniti Italia and Federazione Alzheimer Italia, organises the 35th Alzheimer Europe conference (35AEC) 6-8th October 2025, another great networking opportunity, bringing together people living with dementia and their families, carers and supporters, as well as volunteers and staff of Alzheimer associations, policy makers, health and social care professionals, researchers, academics and industry representatives from all over Europe. The event welcomes all participants wishing to learn more about the latest developments and opportunities in dementia care, treatment, management, research and policy.
The 35AEC will offer exciting, interesting and varied programme: like plenary sessions, workshops and symposia organised by two Italian co-hosts. The conference will provide an ideal facilitated platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration.
We are pleased to announce that our Joint Action Jadementia.eu successfully handed in an abstract, and Elisabeth García Alonso on behalf of the JADE Health’s coordinator FundeSalud will present at the conference. During the conference, she will deliver an oral presentation in the session Research Funding, where she will not only introduce the European funding programme supporting JADE Health, EU4Health, but also provide a comprehensive overview of the project’s objectives, structure and overarching aims. This contribution will underline JADE Health’s role in fostering innovation in dementia prevention and care through multidisciplinary collaboration.
In addition, the consortium’s scientific engagement will be reinforced by poster presentations from project partners. The Bulgarian Society of Dementia (BSD) team will present two contributions on the early detection of neurocognitive disorders: one focusing on vulnerable communities, and another addressing young populations, both outlining the design and pilot methodologies of JADE Health. Meanwhile, colleagues from he Istituto Superiore di Sanità (ISS) will showcase a poster on the project’s integrated approach to the joint prevention of dementia and stroke. These scientific communications reflect the consortium’s commitment to generating evidence and practical tools that can inform policy, healthcare strategies and future research across Europe.
Besides the consortium leader of JADE Health, ISS and BSD, other JADE Health partners will also attend the conference, including the Norwegian National Centre for Ageing and Health, Aarhus Municipality (Denmark), Servicio Madrileño de Salud (Spain), the Active Ageing and Community Care AACC and University of Malta and Malta Dementia Society, DZNE (Germany) , ProMIS (Italy). Their participation is particularly valuable, as each brings recognised expertise in ageing, public health and dementia research. Their presence underlines the strong scientific and institutional network behind the project and further enhances its visibility within the European dementia community.
Being at the 35AEC is very important for JADE Health as the conference has a strong emphasis on collaboration and knowledge sharing. The introduction of our project at this prestigious event will highly contribute to increase our visibility as a new European initiative among the EU professional communities and health care professionals.
