Synergies with CARE4Elders Results in Establishing Stakeholder Relationship

The Action Grant Care4Elders - Developing innovative practices for tackling dementia and reducing stigma - has been identified as a ‘sister’ initiative  of JADEHealth right from the beginning, so Care4Elders honoured the kick-off event of our JA in February 2025.

Synergies between #JADEHealth  and #Care4Elders are quite obvious as both projects aim to raise public awareness and prioritize dementia as a public health challenge, with the mission of transforming dementia care by introducing innovative, digital, and person-centred approaches, while addressing health inequalities and reducing stigma.

We are delighted to announce that Care4Elders is now an official stakeholder of JADEHealth!

Care4Elders focuses on upskilling elderly care professionals, promoting early detection of dementia. To achieve its objectives, the project will develop person-centred care model for dementia prevention, detection, and treatment.

Care4Elders will develop and implement an integrated elderly care strategy that is adaptable across different EU healthcare contexts, focusing on the prevention, detection, and treatment of dementia and to design and standardize a comprehensive training curriculum tailored for elderly care professionals across the EU.

The new type of training will be designed to enhance skills and competencies in dementia care. Improving healthcare professionals’ and caregivers’ skills and knowledge of using and applying digital tools will lead to earlier diagnosis and intervention improving the quality of care.

Besides delivering specialized training programs to reskill professionals using digital tools, CARE4Elders will also implement an awareness campaign to reduce stigma and improve early diagnosis.

We are positive that by establishing a stakeholder cooperation with Care4Elders we can make an impact in service development that will result in providing quality care for individuals with dementia and their families.

We plan to share experience and best practices too, as we have a common goal to create a person-centred new care model on preventing, detecting and treating dementia.

Together we can maximise the exploitation of lessons learned, and can promote integration and sustainability of approaches to achieve high-level impact, as well as support economic and social sustainability.

Let’s combat stigma and health inequalities connected to Dementia, assist vulnerable groups and fight stigmatization of dementia and other NCD-s and patients together!
