JADE Health Presented at II Conference on research, innovation, and training in healthcare (IIFSalud) 2025 in Mérida
Last Thursday, June 26, the 2nd Conference on Research, Innovation, and Training in Health (IIFSalud 2025) was held at the Mérida Conference Center. The event brought together approximately 150 participants, including healthcare professionals, researchers, institutional representatives, and experts from the social and healthcare fields.
Organized by FundeSalud, the conference focused on the importance of clinical studies, health research and innovation projects, specialized training, and the opportunities offered by digitalization in the healthcare sector.
During the conference, the presentation titled “Collaborations of the Ministry of Health and Social Services, the Extremadura Health Service (SES), the Extremadura Service for the Promotion of Autonomy and Dependency (SEPAD), and FundeSalud in European Projects” was delivered, addressing various ongoing initiatives in the region, with a highlight on the JADE Health project (Joint Action Addressing Dementia and Health).
This European project, involving Extremadura alongside other regions of the European Union, aims to improve equity and quality of care for people with dementia through the design of coordinated and sustainable strategies. The presentation explained how JADE Health is structured into different Work Packages, each focused on key aspects such as early diagnosis, personalized care, caregiver support, and professional training.
Several pilot projects to be launched soon in Extremadura were also announced. These initiatives aim to adapt and implement European best practices to the regional context and assess their effectiveness in improving the quality of life of people with dementia and their families.
The 2nd IIFSalud 2025 Conference further establishes Extremadura as a national benchmark in health innovation, European cooperation, and person-centered social and healthcare services.

We thank all participants for their great contribution!
