Honouring the recent "International Nurse´s Day" the XIX National Scientific and Training Conference was organised 20th May 2025, by the Medical University of Warsaw, Poland. The main theme of the conference was: "Our nurses. Our Future" with a subtheme: ‘Support and development of nurses strengthens the economy´.

Main Sessions of the conference discussed:

1. New competencies in nursing practice - the key to the future
2. Reports on reserach results
3. Posters presentations
4. Students reports on research results

The event was streamed online as well as was an onsite conference with about 200-250 participants with physical presence, including medical professional, representatives of NGO´s and students.

The conference had an English language student session, which provided another great opportunity for professor Tomasz Kryczka MSc, MD, PhD to promote our project and give a lecture in the framework of the event titled: JADE Health Joint Action and the role of nurses in the diagnosis and treatment of patients with dementia.

In his presentation Professor Kryczka highlighted nurses´ role in the diagnosis and treatment of patients living with dementia and introduced JADE Health Joint Action, it´s mission and major goals. One of the conference topics – development of tools and courses increasing the competencies of nurses, dealt with the early detection of patients with dementia and their management.
